Police Summon Parents After Detention Of 13 Teenagers Suspected Of Having Methamphetamine Party In Bengkayang, West Kalimantan

JAKARTA - The Bengkayang Resort Police (Polres) in West Kalimantan (Kalbar) arrested 13 teenagers along with a number of tools suspected of being used to smoke methamphetamine at a house near SMAS St. Frans Asisi, Bengkayang, Monday, November 10 evening.

"This step was taken following public reports regarding suspicious activities of a group of young people who often gather at the house," said Head of Samapta Bengkayang Police, IPTU Dwiyanto Bhanu Susilo, Tuesday, November 11, as reported by Antara.

He said the quick response team Sat Samapta he led with 12 personnel went straight to the location to conduct an inspection.

From the results of the examination, he continued, his party found 13 teenagers who were underage gathering at home. After a search was carried out, several devices suspected of having methamphetamine suction were also found.

All teenagers found at the location were immediately secured to the Bengkayang Police Headquarters for further data collection and examination.

The police also coordinated with the Narcotics Investigation Unit (Sat Resnarkoba) to ensure the relationship between the teenagers and drug abuse.

"We are moving quickly to follow up on residents' reports. We have secured the teenagers and checked with the Narcotics Unit. We summon their parents to be given guidance and appeals to further monitor their children's association," he said.

At the Bengkayang Police Headquarters, the teenagers were asked to sign a statement so as not to repeat their actions. Meanwhile, parents are given guidance and guidance on the importance of family supervision in preventing juvenile delinquency and narcotics abuse.
