After The Explosion Incident, Pramono Allows SMAN 72 Jakarta To Hold Face-to-Face Learning Again

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung invited SMAN 72 Jakarta to again hold teaching and learning activities in schools. After the explosion last Friday, the neger school in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta implemented online learning.

"Regarding the learning process at SMAN Negeri 72, we have given freedom to the Head of the Education Office. We give complete freedom to schools," said Pramono at the AA Maramis Building of the Ministry of Finance, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, November 11.

Pramono revealed that the school's freedom to study offline again was because he received reports that some students had wanted to return to school and study face-to-face.

"For that, because all the data has been taken by the Police, it is related to events and now the teaching and learning process is done directly, actually it can be done," said Pramono.

Previously, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government decided that teaching and learning activities at SMAN 72 Jakarta would be carried out online starting Monday, November 10. This decision was taken after the location of the school was still in the process of sterilizing after the explosion incident that occurred some time ago.

The head of the DKI Jakarta Education Office, Nahdiana, explained that online learning activities will be focused on the students' mental recovery process before returning to their activities in schools. He emphasized the importance of providing safe space and recreative activities for students.

"Learning will focus on the recovery process and mental preparation of students before returning to school. Learning in class will later be filled by the homeroom teacher and psychologist with learning that is packaged by providing space for closer interaction, such as sports and art, so that children can recover and feel safe again," said Nahdiana in her statement.

He added that before learning activities begin, the school will invite parents to provide understanding of the recovery steps taken with the school, psychologists, and elements of the local area.

"Currently, officers from the Health Service and the PPAPP Service have been on guard at the location to ensure assistance runs well," said Nahdiana.

Head of the DKI Jakarta Empowerment, Child Protection and Population Control Agency (PPAPP), Iin Mutmainnah, said that his party had prepared long-term psychological support for students and teaching staff. The assistance includes during distance learning (PJJ).

"We will prepare psychological support to accompany children during the PJJ and the recovery process at school," said Iin.
