Apple Will Delay Launch Of IPhone Air 2 Next Year

JAKARTA The iPhone Air release coincided with the iPhone 17 series in September 2025. The next generation should be released at the same time next year, but it looks like Apple will delay its launch.

According to reports circulating, as reported by Reuters, the iPhone Air 2 will not be launched in the fall of next year as Apple previously planned. This news has been circulated to engineers and suppliers.

Sources familiar with the matter also said that Apple did not provide a new release date after removing the iPhone Air 2 from its launch schedule in the fall. It is not known for sure why Apple postponed its launch.

Most likely, this problem is based on weak sales of the iPhone Air. Although this device shows good sales figures in China, its global sales figure is lower than expected.

Foxconn is also known to have dismantled 'all but one and a half production lines' of the first version of the iPhone Air. The manufacturing company is expected to halt all production of the iPhone Air by the end of November.

Meanwhile, another iPhone Air production partner, namely Luxshare, ended production of the iPhone Air at the end of October 2025. This termination was carried out because the iPhone Air sales rate was quite low.

However, this delay is still uncertain. The Information report notes that Apple is only delaying, not canceling the launch of the next iPhone Air. A number of technicians and Apple manufacturers are said to be still working on their devices.

If Apple delays the launch of the iPhone Air 2, the company may only launch three new iPhones in the fall next year. The three devices are the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and iPhone Fold.
