BPS Calls Cooking Oil Prices High Stable

JAKARTA - The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) said that the price of cooking oil for all quality is in high stable condition and has never decreased in the first week of November 2025.

Head of BPS Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti said, there was a slight increase in prices for cooking oil for all good quality bulk, premium, and oil, so consumers had to pay above the highest retail price (HET).

"This cooking oil, it is stable and high, never drops. There is a slight, thin, but slowly and stable rise, so the price paid by consumers is a high price," Amalia said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, November 11.

He explained that the average price of all quality cooking oil nationally in the first week of November 2025 was IDR 19,480 per liter, while in October 2025 it was IDR 19,469 per liter.

Especially for Oilita, BPS noted that the average price of national people's cooking oil was at Rp. 17,261 per liter, while in the previous month it was Rp. 17,220 per liter.

This price is above the highest retail price (HET) set at IDR 15,700 per liter.

There are 80 regencies/cities on the island of Java whose average price is on the HET.
