Indonesian Pavilion At COP30 Brazil Officially Opened, Ready To Become A World Green Economy Bridge
The Indonesian government officially opened the Indonesian Pavilion at the Conference of the Parties (COP30) which was held in Brazil, Monday, November 10.
The presence of this pavilion is the main stage for Indonesia to show its commitment to green economy development and strengthen sustainable investment cooperation at the global level.
Minister of Environment/Head of BPLH Hanif Faisol Nurofiq said the Indonesian Pavilion was designed as a forum for cross-border collaboration, business sector, and the international community in building a green economy ecosystem.
"We are not only here to negotiate, but show that Indonesia is ready to become a green bridge in the world," said Hanif in a written statement received by VOI, Tuesday, November 11.
During the two weeks of COP30, the Indonesian Pavilion will feature more than 50 discussion sessions and strategic forums that discuss various achievements and initiatives, such as sustainable forest management, clean energy transition, circular economy, and environmentally friendly industries.
One of the flagship agendas is the Seller Meet Buyer forum, which brings together sellers and carbon credit buyers.
Through this scheme, Indonesia encourages the financing of carbon market-based green projects that have the potential to generate economic value of up to 7.7 billion US dollars per year.
"The carbon market is not just an economic transaction. This is our way of upholding integrity and building world trust," added Hanif.
