Support Sustainable Infrastructure Financing, IIF Invests IDR 400 Billion At KIK EBA Syariah

JAKARTA - With a strong commitment to support sustainable infrastructure financing in Indonesia, PT Indonesia Infrastructure Finance (IIF) participated in the purchase of the Sharia Asset-Backed Asset Collective Investment Contract (KIK EBA Syariah) BRI-MI Jakarta Barat one worth Rp400 billion. The KIK EBA Syariah is the first in Indonesia.

This investment product was issued by PT BRI Investment Management (BRI-MI) and supported by the toll revenue rights owned by PT Jakarta Lingkar Baratsatu which came from the Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR) W1 section, which connects Penjaringan and Kebon Jeruk. Through this sharia-based financial instrument, the funds raised are used to support operational sustainability and optimize the performance of toll roads that are connected in the Jakarta and surrounding areas.

"The participation of IIF in purchasing this effect is a tangible manifestation of support for sustainable infrastructure financing. Through Islamic capital market instruments, IIF plays an active role in expanding non-conventional financing alternatives for national strategic projects, as well as encouraging collaboration between the financial sector and the real sector," said Chief Investment Officer IIF, M. Ramadhan Harahap (Idhan), in a written statement, Monday, November 10.

For information, the Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR) is an important part of the national road network system that connects various main toll roads in the Jabodetabek area. In particular, the JORR W1 section plays a vital role as a link between the Inner City Toll Road and Soekarno-Hatta Airport Toll Road, the Tangerang 'Merak Toll Road, and the Jagorawi Toll Road, thus supporting the smooth flow of logistics and the daily mobility of the community.

The existence of JORR W1 also contributed significantly to reducing congestion in downtown Jakarta, accelerating the travel time for distribution of goods between regions, and strengthening economic integration between Jakarta, Tangerang, and Bekasi. With a high volume of traffic, toll revenue from this section becomes a stable source of cash that supports the financial feasibility of issuing asset-based securities such as KIK EBA Syariah.

By participating in this Sharia EBA KIK, IIF reinforces its commitment to building inclusive, sustainable infrastructure, and has a direct impact on increasing connectivity and Indonesia's economic growth.
