DPR Holds Feasibility Test For Public Accounting Office Candidates For Examining Financial Reports Of BPK 2025

Commission XI of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) today held a fit and proper test on the six Public Accounting Offices (KAP) which were candidates for the 2025 Annual Financial Report of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK).

Deputy Chairman of Commission XI DPR RI from the PDI-P faction, Dolfie OFP explained that this feasibility test was carried out to capture KAP who has high competence and integrity in examining BPK's annual financial statements for 2025.

"Commission XI is fit and proper for the KAP (Public Accountant Office) to be able to assess the feasibility, technical ability, experience, and method of substance of the examination," said Dolfie when confirmed in Jakarta, Monday, November 10.

According to Dolfie, the public accountant who will be tested by Commission XI of the DPR RI is a candidate proposed directly by the BPK and the Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Purbaya Yudhi Sadive.

"Public accountability was appointed by the DPR RI through Commission XI on proposals from the BPK and the Minister of Finance," he said.

Dolfie explained that the elected public accountant will be tasked with examining all state financial management and responsibilities at the BPK.

For this reason, said Dolfie, Commission XI of the DPR RI will carry out a feasibility test process according to the regulations in Legislative. Most importantly, ensuring that the elected KAP is feasible and can be trusted to properly examine BPK's annual financial statements.

"The examination of the management and financial responsibility of the BPK's annual financial state is carried out by the Public Accountant," he said.
