Persib Bandung Responds To Additional Sentences By PSSI Komdis Against Luciano Guaycochea

JAKARTA - Persib Bandung responded to additional penalties handed down by the PSSI Disciplinary Committee (Komdis) against their midfielder, Luciano Guaycochea. Maung Bandung emphasized that players and teams would respect all existing decisions.

"As a professional club, we really appreciate the PSSI Komdis decision. Lucho's absence is certainly a challenge for the coaching team in compiling the best composition, but we believe every player is ready to make an important contribution on the field."

"After accepting the decision, he (Luciano) stated that he is ready to respect and undergo the entire process as a form of professional responsibility," said Deputy CEO of PT Persib Bandung Bermartabat, Adhitia Putra Herawan, quoted on Monday, November 10, 2025.

Luciano officially received additional sanctions from the PSSI Komdis with a two-match ban. This happened after the incident in the 10th week of the 2025/2026 Super League match against Persis Solo at the Bandung Lautan Api Stadium, Bandung, on Monday, October 27, 2025.

Based on the PSSI Komdis decision numbered 061/L1/SK/KD-PSSI/X/2025 dated October 30, 2025, Lucho was considered to have taken excessive action when dueling with opposing players.

In addition to the red card punishment that has been served, Lucho also received an additional ban on playing in the next two matches and a fine of Rp. 10 million.

Lucho's absence period was then considered by Adhitia to be a momentum for evaluation as well as strengthening the team's character.

Moreover, during that period, the team must be able to find alternative players and adjust strategies so that performance remains stable.

Lucho was previously confirmed missing the 11th week of the match when Persib won 1-0 over Bali United at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar, 1 November 2025.

With this additional sanction, the 32-year-old also could not strengthen Persib in the 12th week of the match against North Maluku United which was rescheduled for December 14, 2025 and the 13th week match against Dewa United on November 21, 2025.
