The Ministry Of Industry Notes That 707 AMDK Factories In Indonesia Have Absorbed 46.000 Workers

The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) noted that there are 707 Bottled Drinking Water (AMDK) factories, the majority of which are located on the island of Java. The 707 AMDK factories have a total production capacity of up to 47 billion liters per year.

Acting (Plt) Director General of Agro Industry of the Ministry of Industry Putu Juli Ardika said the number of labor absorption from hundreds of factories reached 46.000 people.

"We have 707 factories spread throughout Indonesia and the majority are indeed in Java, which is 54 percent. Now, the absorption of the workforce is quite quite 46,000 people," Putu said in the RDP together with Commission VII DPR RI and the Water Supply Company at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, November 10.

Putu added, utilization from the AMDK industry reached 71.62 percent until 2024. "And the balance of drinking water trading is quite good too, we have a surplus of 19.46 million US dollars," he said.

Based on the exposure material displayed, the export value of AMDK itself has reached 16.85 million US dollars until August 2025. "There are not many imports, we export quite significantly," he said.

In addition, Putu said, his party has issued more than 500 Product Certificates for the Use of the Indonesian National Standard Sign (SPPT-SNI) from January 2024 to June 2025.

"The SNI SPPT that has been issued for the January 2024-Jun 2025 period is 576, this is in SIINAS (National Industrial Information System)," he concluded.
