BI Reveals Consumer Confidence Index Up To Level 121.2 In October 2025
JAKARTA - The Bank Indonesia Consumer Survey in October 2025 indicated that consumer confidence in economic conditions had increased compared to the previous month.
This is reflected in the October 2025 Consumer Confidence Index (IKK) which is at an optimistic level of 121.2, or higher than the previous month's index of 115.0.
Executive Director of the Communication Department, Ramdan Denny Prakoso, said that the increase was sourced from consumer confidence in the current and future economic conditions which were at an optimistic level and increased compared to the previous period.
"The Current Economic Condition Index (IKE) and the Consumer Expectation Index (IEK) were recorded at 109.1 and 133.4, respectively," he wrote in his statement, quoted on Monday, November 11.
Based on the expenditure group, consumer confidence in October 2025 increased for all groups, with the highest IKK recorded in respondents spending more than IDR 5 million (125.3), followed by respondents spending IDR 4.1-IDR 5 million (120.4).
Meanwhile, based on the age group, IKK also increased in all age groups, with the highest optimism in the 20-30 year age group of 125.0.
Spatially, IKK has increased in the majority of cities surveyed, especially in Medan, Pontianak, and Padang.
As for October 2025, the average proportion of consumer income for consumption (average property to consumer ratio) was recorded at 74.7 percent, lower than the proportion in the previous month, which was 75.1 percent.

Meanwhile, the proportion of installment/debt payment to income ratio is 11.0 percent, relatively stable compared to the proportion in the previous month of 11.2 percent.
Furthermore, the proportion of consumer income stored (saving to income ratio) was 14.3 percent, higher than the proportion in the previous month, which was 13.7 percent.
The proportion of consumption of income is indicated to decrease in part of the expenditure group, namely the group Rp1-2 million (76.5 percent), Rp3.1-4 million (72.8 percent), and more than Rp5 million (70.5 percent).
Meanwhile, the portion of income saved has increased in the majority of expenditure groups, especially in the expenditure group of more than IDR 5 million (16.5 percent).
