Laundry Employees Save 1 Kg Of Marijuana Arrested By BNN Bali
DENPASAR - A male laundry employee with the initials AR (29) was arrested by officers from the Bali Province National Narcotics Agency (BNN) for storing one kilogram of marijuana in his boarding house in Tuban Village, Kuta, Badung, Bali.
AR was arrested on Tuesday (4/11) when the BNN team held a joint operation to restore narcotics-prone villages carried out in Tuban Village, Badung and in Pemogan Village, Denpasar City.
"What was revealed by BNNP Bali, with suspect AR who was secured in his boarding room as a suspect, in the Tuban area with evidence of marijuana type as much as 1,076.36 grams net," said investigators from the Bali Province BNN Eradication Division, Kombes Tri Kuncoro, Monday, November 10.
Based on the results of urine tests in the area, three people were found with positive narcotics results. For suspected users whose urine test results were positive were taken to the Bali Province BNN Primary Clinic for assessment and rehabilitation according to their level of dependence.
Meanwhile, suspect AR claimed to be an intermediary. He was ordered by his boss who is now a fugitive.
"It's his job that he just takes it and then put it in his boarding house. Then the boss will break it up and distribute it," he added.
Suspect AR is tasked with handing over marijuana if a customer comes to his boarding house on orders from his boss. The perpetrator admitted that he had only been in the illicit business for two months.
Suspect AR was charged with Article 114 paragraph (2) or Article 111 paragraph (2) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.
