2 Trains In Slovakia Collision, Dozens Of Passengers Injured

JAKARTA - Two trains collided in Slovakia on Sunday night after one of the trains hit the back of the other train. The accident injured dozens of passengers.

Minister of Home Affairs Matus Sutaj Estok dozens of people suffered minor injuries, while 11 people were taken to the hospital. It is certain that there were no casualties in the train collision accident.

The train accident occurred in the corridor between the capital Bratislava and Pezinok, 20 km (12 miles) northeast.

"According to preliminary information, there were no direct train collisions, nor did no trains slip," police said on Facebook.

The news website Actuality.sk quoted a passenger as telling the accident as a loud "explosion" sound.

This accident is Slovakia's second in a month. Two trains collided in eastern Slovakia on October 13, injuring 91 people.
