YouTube TV Fulfills Promise, Gives Credit 20 Dollars After Disney Channel Withdraws
JAKARTA YouTube has to pay $20 (IDR 332 thousand) for failing to strike an agreement with Disney. After waiting long enough, customers will finally get the compensation.
Previously, YouTube TV reportedly only provided credit of 10 US dollars (Rp. 163 thousand), half of what the company promised. The awarding of this discount was heavily criticized so that YouTube finally provided compensation according to its initial promise.
This US$20 credit offer has been confirmed directly by a YouTube spokesperson. Launching from TechCrunch, the company will only launch credit or discount payments to eligible customers.
For customers who meet the requirements, they will receive detailed instructions via email on how to take advantage of this credit. After that, the credit given will be applied to further payments.

This credit offer is a form of YouTube's responsibility after failing to continue working with Disney. As a result, 20 channels from the Disney network, including ESPN, have been withdrawn. The deletion of this channel was carried out on October 31.
YouTube had stated that if a new deal was reached, the channels would be restored within hours. Unfortunately, Disney's channel recovery has not happened until now.
This isn't the first time YouTube TV has clashed with Disney. In 2022, the same thing happened and Disney's program was deleted for one day. Although not long ago, YouTube TV continued to provide credit of 15 US dollars (Rp. 249 thousand) to its customers.
