The City Government And Residents Of Semarang City Condolences For The Death Of V. Djoko Riyanto, The Husband Of The Mayor Of Semarang

SEMARANG - The City Government or the Semarang City Government expresses their deep condolences for the passing of Mr. V. Djoko Riyanto, S.E., the husband of the Mayor of Semarang, Agustina Wilujeng, on Sunday 9 November morning.

Despite the grief, the Semarang City Government ensures that the wheels of government continue to run properly.

Deputy Mayor of Semarang, Iswar Aminuddin, emphasized that government activities will continue to run normally and will be coordinated with the Regional Secretary and the protocol ranks.

"There is no information from him yet. Maybe one or two days we will see later. The government will certainly continue, and tomorrow's activities will be coordinated by the Regional Secretary with his protocol," explained Iswar.

In addition to ensuring the running of the government, Iswar also expressed a deep sense of loss for the death of the deceased who was known as a role model.

"He is a good person. I know him during the struggle in the legislature. He has done many things to improve the welfare of the community," said Iswar after the funeral.

In Iswar's view, Mr. Vincentius Djoko Riyanto is also known as a figure who was able to bridge his views while serving as a member of the Semarang City DPRD. According to him, the leadership style of the deceased always prioritizes dialogue and balance.

"When there is a discussion that is hampered, he with humility is able to position himself as an equalizer. Thanks to that, the policies of the City Government and DPRD can run well," he said.

The funeral procession for the deceased was held on Sunday afternoon. Iswar, who was present directly representing the Semarang City Government, expressed his condolences and prayers for the bereaved family.

"On behalf of the City Government and the people of Semarang, our deepest condolences. May his journey to God be given smoothness," he added.

Apart from the ranks of the City Government, a number of friends, officials and relatives were present to pay their last respects, including DPR RI member Samuel Wattimena. Samuel admitted that he was surprised when he received the sad news.

"I got the news this morning. Last night I just met Mrs. Agustin, so this news is very surprising. But God has a plan for His people," he said.

Samuel also said that the deceased had been fighting against the pain for a long time. However, his life spirit never faded.

"I knew Mr. Djoko when he was sick, but his energy was still positive. From his eyes, he still looked enthusiastic," he said.

He added that Mayor Agustina was a strong, full of faith and had a strong personality in facing this life test.

"Mrs. Agustin is an optimistic person. If you tell about Mr. Djoko, always with joy, not complaints. He feels grateful because he can still accompany his husband until the end," he said.

The Semarang City Government invites the public to pray for the deceased to have the best place in the side of God Almighty, and pray for the extended family of Mayor Agustina Wilujeng to always be given strength and fortitude.
