US Dollar Weakening, Rupiah Chances To Strengthen Limited
JAKARTA - The rupiah exchange rate in trading Monday, November 10, 2025, is estimated to have the potential to strengthen against the United States (US) dollar.
To note, citing Bloomberg, on Friday, November 7, 2025, the rupiah spot exchange rate closed higher by 0.07 percent to the level of Rp. 16,690 per US dollar.
Meanwhile, the Jakarta Interbank Spot Dollar Rate (Jisdor) exchange rate of Bank Indonesia (BI) closed up 0.02 percent to a price level of IDR 16,704 per US dollar.
Doo Financial Futures analyst Lukman Leong estimates that the rupiah exchange rate has the potential to strengthen against the US dollar which is under pressure by data showing a decline in consumer sentiment in the United States, which is greater than expected.
"The rupiah has the potential to strengthen against the US dollar which is depressed by data showing consumer sentiment in the US which is decreasing more than expected," he told VOI, Monday, November 3.

In addition, he added that the strengthening of the rupiah is expected to be limited due to the hope that the closure (shutdown) of the US government will end soon.
"Investors are also waiting and see Indonesia's retail sales data which will be released this afternoon," he said.
Lukman projects that the movement of the rupiah on Monday, November 10, will move in the range of Rp. 16,650 per US dollar to Rp. 16,750 per US dollar.
