PDI-P Committed To Expanding Health Cadre Network
JAKARTA - Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) DPP, Hasto Kristiyanto, stated that his party is very committed to expanding the network of health cadres to serve the community.
This, said Hasto, was done by PDIP not aimed at increasing electoralism but purely serving the community.
Hasto's affirmation was conveyed at the PDIP Health Volunteer Training seminar at the Lenteng Agung Party School, Jakarta, Saturday.
"The implementation of humanitarian functions is not electoral. Electoral will definitely be available when we go down, uniting with the people," said Hasto in an official press release received by ANTARA in Jakarta.

In his remarks, Hasto assessed that the presence of health volunteers is very much needed by the community, especially in areas where it is difficult to get access to quality health.
Hasto then reviewed about his trip which had just visited Rote Island, East Nusa Tenggara, the outermost part of Indonesia. He described how crucial the presence of health volunteers in remote areas and islands is.
Therefore, he asked the PDI-P health volunteers not only to provide curative services (healing) but also to be effective preventive.
Thus, the public can increasingly understand how to anticipate diseases so that the health rate in Indonesia can increase.
"The main role of volunteers is to become a bridge that understands the patient's condition and teaches preventive efforts," he explained.
To sharpen the enthusiasm of PDI-P health cadres in carrying out this noble task, Hasto ensured that PDI-P health cadres received full support from PDI-P General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri.
"The General Chairperson provides full support for these health volunteers in an effort to assist patients," he said.
