Seskab Teddy: National Internship Participants Get Training According To Field
JAKARTA - Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya checked the implementation of the National Internship Program, which is currently entering its 3rd week and saw firsthand that the interns received training according to the field of lectures or discipline taken during college.
The National Internship Program, which officially starts on October 20, 2025, is one of the government's focuses on increasing the relationship between graduates from universities and the industrial sector, as well as to improve the skills of these new graduates so that they have the skills needed by the business world.
"It is nice to meet young people who are participating in the National Internship Program at one of the leading private companies of PT Denso Indonesia in Bekasi Regency, West Java, on Friday morning, November 7, 2025. Together with the Minister of Manpower, Mr. Prof. Yassierli, who invited this automotive component manufacturing company, we directly review the implementation of the Batch 1 National Internship Program, which started on October 20, or has now entered the third week of internship," said Teddy, quoted by Antara, Saturday, November 8.
At the internship location, Teddy interacted with the interns to find out the benefits they received from the national internship program.
"Here, the interns have really worked, given training, skills, and even got mentors, according to their respective lectures. They also get pocket money equivalent to the Regency/City Minimum Wage for internships. For example, in Bekasi Regency, around Rp. 5.5 million per month," said Teddy.
Teddy continued that some of the interns he met had just graduated from college in August 2025 or about two months ago.
On the same occasion, Teddy said that President Prabowo had ordered the Minister of Manpower to open the 2nd batch of the National Internship Program with the number of participants reaching 80,000 new graduates (fresh graduates).

The wave II of the National Internship Program will begin in November 2025.
"Thus, the total participants of the 2025 National Internship Program will reach 100,000 people," continued Teddy.
