PlayStation Portal Users Can Now Play PS5 Games Directly Without PS5 Consoles

JAKARTA - Sony Interactive Entertainment launched the Cloud Streaming feature to the Playstation Portal device, which allows users to play PS5 games directly from the cloud without having to connect to the console.

This feature is available to PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers, and supports thousands of popular PS5 titles such as Astro Bot, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Fortnite, Grand Theft Auto V, to Resident Evil 4.

In addition, hundreds of games from the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog can also be accessed through the cloud, including Cyberpunk 2077, God of War Ragnarök, and The Last of Us Part II Remastered.

"This feature opens a new way of playing, for example, playing alongside friends who use the PS5 on other accounts, or continuing the game when consoles are used by others," said Senior Manager, PlayStation Product Management, Takuro Fushimi.

This update also brings a new look with three main tabs, namely Remote Play, Cloud Streaming, and Search. Users can now find compatible games, connect PS5 accounts, or start streaming without downloads.
