Michael Jackson's Biopic Movie Awaited Finally Released Official Trailer
JAKARTA - After a long wait, the first trailer for Michael Jackson's highly anticipated biopic, titled Michael, has been officially launched.
Meanwhile, this biopic is scheduled to premiere on April 24, 2026,
The trailer footage shows Jackson in the studio withUS Jones as they prepare to record songs that appear to date back to the era of the Thriller album. This look is interspersed with a glimpse of his action on stage and facing the euphoria of fans.
Through its official synopsis, the film was promised to explore Michael Jackson's journey to be known to the world as King Of Pop to present intimate views on the life and eternal heritage of one of the most influential artists, pioneers, ever known to the world.
In his main role, Jaafar Jackson, Michael Jackson's nephew, was lined up to revive the iconic figure. Meanwhile, veteran actor Colman Domingo will play his father, Joe Jackson.

This project was worked on by filmmaker Antoine Fuqua, who was previously successful with films such as 'Training Day' and 'The Equalizer'. The script was entrusted to John Logan who was involved in the films 'Gladiator' and 'Skyfall'.
A series of other big names also enliven the list of players, including Nia Long as Michael's mother, Total Jackson, and Miles Teller who will play John Branca, a lawyer and manager who is also one of the executors with Jackson's legacy and the producer of this film.
For information, the release of this film comes 17 years after Michael Jackson's tragic death on June 25, 2009, at the age of 50. The cause of death was acute Propofol poisoning.
Since its inception, Michael's biopic has drawn criticism, including from Dan Reed, the director behind the controversial documentary Leavingvising who accused Jackson of sexual harassment.
