Lombok 2023 MXGP Debt Investigated By The NTB Prosecutor's Office, Allegedly Related To Sponsorship Funds
The West Nusa Tenggara High Prosecutor's Office stated that the debt issue that arose in the 2023 Lombok Motocross Grand Prix (MXGP) racing event at the former Selaparang Airport, Mataram City, is now the subject of an investigation into the special criminal field.
Assistant for Special Crimes at the NTB Prosecutor's Office, Muh. Zulkifli Said said that the 2023 MXGP debt investigation was rooted in the alleged misappropriation of sponsorship funds from PT Bank NTB Syariah.
"Yes, that's right. The case is in the investigation stage," said Zulkifli, quoted by Antara, Friday, November 7.
The investigation step for the Special Crimes Division of the NTB Prosecutor's Office is based on the issuance of the Investigation Order (Sprinlid) of the Head of the NTB Prosecutor's Office Number PRINT-14/N.2/Fd.1/10/2025 dated October 8, 2025.
With the existence of the NTB Kajati Sprinlid, he said, the ranks of special criminal prosecutors in the marathon collected information and related documents through the summons of the parties involved in the euphoria of the racing event during the era of the Governor of NTB Zulkieflimansyah.
Those included in the investigation target came from PT Samota Enduro Gemilang as the organizer of the activity, PT Carsten Indonesia, which acted as an event organizer to the local government.
"Finally, the prosecutor in the special criminal field was recorded as calling the management of PT Bank NTB Syariah which became the main sponsor in Indonesia's second series racing event in 2023," he said.
As a regionally owned bank, PT Bank NTB Syariah in the extreme sporting event was recorded as providing full support by disbursing sponsorship funds of billions of rupiah.
