Indira Chunda, SYL's Daughter, And Dangdut Singer Nayunda Nabila Questioned By KPK Regarding SYL's Money Laundering Case

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has scheduled the examination of eight witnesses in the alleged money laundering (TPPU) case involving former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo today, November 6. Two of them are his daughter, Indira Chunda Thita Syahrul, and dangdut singer Nayunda Nabila Nizrinah.

"The examination will be conducted at the South Sulawesi BPK office," KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo told reporters in a written statement on Thursday, November 6.

In addition to Indira and Nayunda, other witnesses being questioned are housewives Fitriany and Wahyunita Puspa Rini; and a private sector employee named Imam Mujahdin Fahmid.

Syahrul's younger brother, Tenri Angka Yasin Limpo, and Nasrullah, Director of PT Timurama, were also summoned. However, Budi has not yet detailed the attendance of these witnesses or the material being examined.

They were only reportedly questioned regarding the money laundering case involving extortion and bribery committed by SYL during his time in office.

"The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has scheduled the examination of witnesses in the alleged money laundering case at the Ministry of Agriculture, with SYL as the suspect," he stated.

As previously reported, former Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo is now a suspect in the alleged money laundering case. This follows the development of the extortion and bribery case, for which he was sentenced by the Jakarta Corruption Court.

The KPK has seized several assets allegedly purchased by Syahrul with the proceeds of corruption. Among them, a white Mitsubishi Sport Dakar hidden in an empty lot in Makassar, South Sulawesi.

SYL has now been incarcerated at Sukamiskin Penitentiary in Bandung, West Java. He will serve a 12-year prison sentence for his role in the extortion and bribery case at the Ministry of Agriculture.

SYL was also sentenced to pay a fine of Rp. 500 million, subsidiary to four months imprisonment, plus compensation of Rp. 44,269,777,204 and 30 thousand US dollars, subsidiary to five years imprisonment.
