Komdigi Blocks More Than 2.4 Million Online Gambling Content Until Q3 2025
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Communication and Digital together with the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) reiterated its commitment to collaborating to eradicate online gambling in Indonesia.
In an effort to eradicate online gambling, from October 20, 2024 to November 2, 2025, the Ministry of Communication and Industry has successfully cut off access to 2,458,934 to online gambling content on the internet.
Of the total, the Minister of Trade, Meutya Hafid, explained that more than 2.1 million content came from websites, 123 thousand content from file sharing, and more than 106 thousand content came from digital platform Meta, including Facebook and Instagram.
"For Google and YouTube, there are more than 41 thousand, for X there are more than 18,600, for Telegram there are 1,942, for TikTok there are 1,138, Line 14, App Store there are 3, and others," said Meutya in a press conference at the PPATK office on Thursday, November 6.
In addition to blocking access, Meutya said that in the same period, Komdigi had reported 23,604 accounts to PPATK to be followed up.
"Because we understand not only access, but also the account becomes his neck from criminal behavior on the internet, especially online gambling," he said further.

In accordance with President Prabowo Subianto's mandate, Menkomdigi Meutya stated that his party would actively talk to foreign partners, to jointly eradicate online gambling.
"We, too, both Komdigi and PPATK will also actively talk to our partners in foreign countries, because the President in the APEC forum has said that online gambling is a cross-bordered crime," he said.
