Police Hunt Down Robbers Who Stalked Baduy Honey Traders

JAKARTA - The Central Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit is still pursuing four robbers who stole Rp 3 million in cash, 10 bottles of honey, and a cellphone from Repan (16), a honey trader from Inner Baduy.

"They haven't been arrested yet. It's still under investigation," said the Head of the Central Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit, AKBP Roby Hery Saputra, when confirmed by VOI on Thursday, November 6, 2025.

Police have also conducted a crime scene investigation and questioned several witnesses regarding the incident. However, investigators have not yet been able to determine the specific characteristics of the perpetrators of the robbery of the Baduy honey trader.

"We are still identifying them," he said.

Meanwhile, the victim, Repan, said the four perpetrators were of varying builds, ranging from fat to thin, and carried machetes.

"So, we're good at self-defense, but we can't do it. There were four perpetrators, but only two of them fought back," said the victim, Repan, in a circulating video.

Currently, the victim's hand wound is gradually improving, although he was initially turned away by a hospital in Cempaka Putih due to his lack of an ID card.

"(The victim's current condition) is healthy," said the victim.
