KADIN Holds National Coordination Meeting For Trade, Discussing Strategies To Support 8 Percent Economic Growth Target

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) will hold a National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) for Trade on November 26, 2025 at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Jakarta.

This forum will be a means of formulating a national trade strategy to support the 8 percent economic growth target launched by President Prabowo Subianto.

Chairman of the Standing Committee for Facilities, Infrastructure and Logistics of Trade of KADIN, Andira Reoputra, said the National Coordination Meeting would present a number of government officials and administrators of KADIN from all regions.

"We will hold a National Coordination Meeting, God willing, on November 26. This National Coordination Meeting has the theme of increasing the value of trade, both investment, exports, and imports, to support the achievement of 8 percent economic growth," Andira said in South Jakarta, Wednesday, November 5.

This National Coordination Meeting invites the Minister of Trade Budi Santoso to the Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung. The National Coordination Meeting will be attended by around 300 participants consisting of representatives of the Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry for 38 provinces and central associations. The opening agenda will begin during the day, followed by plenary meetings until the evening.

Andira emphasized that this forum was not just a ceremonial meeting, but a strategic meeting to draw up a national trade roadmap involving business actors, associations, and the government.

"Our optimality with this National Coordination Meeting is that we make a blueprint or roadmap for trading, and this must be a joint performance, not only the government but also business actors," he said.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry has also prepared a special session with a number of directorate generals at the Ministry of Trade. This forum will be used to attract input from regions and associations so that the direction of national trade policy is more adaptive to global challenges.

"The goal is to cooperate with the Ministry of Trade in supporting trade growth in Indonesia and of course achieving 8 percent economic growth," said Andira.

According to Andira, the National Coordination Meeting will discuss the potential for increased export-import cooperation, including bilateral trade opportunities with ASEAN, Asia Pacific, and Europe.

"We will provide global export potential mapping which will also be collaborated by the Ministry of Trade. This makes this National Coordination Meeting good," he said.

KADIN is also committed to strengthening the role of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in order to penetrate the global market.

"With this National Coordination Meeting, we encourage Kadin or regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry to expose, explore MSMEs or their efforts so that they can compete globally," said Andira.

Regarding government policies to limit imported products such as used clothes, Andira emphasized KADIN's support for regulatory enforcement measures.

"If that is the context of used clothing, it is outside the existing provisions and is indeed prohibited. So we continue to support the improvements in this republic," he explained.

Furthermore, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry will also take a role in various international cooperations built by the Prabowo-Gibran government. According to Andira, every foreign visit of President Prabowo often involves the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry to establish a memorandum of understanding in the fields of trade and investment.

"Every visit abroad, several agendas, Mr. Ketum KADIN, were also included and of course there was a signing of a memorandum of agreement between the targeted countries, both in trade and other assistance," he added.
