Bali DPRD Receives Jimbaran Residents' Report On Restrictions On Temple Access

The Bali DPRD's Special Committee for Asset and Licensing Spatial Planning (Pansus TRAP) received reports from residents of Jimbaran Traditional Village regarding restrictions on access to Belong Batu Nunggul Temple, Badung Regency, Bali by external parties.

Chairman of the TRAP Special Committee of the Bali DPRD I Made Supartha said that indigenous peoples have long been complicated towards temples by a company, worse in the middle of this year they want to renovate the temple with the Bali Provincial Government grant but are not allowed.

Meanwhile, the council assessed that no one has the right to hinder the execution of government grants, let alone depart from this report, other problems were found, such as evidence that the land controlled by the company was a government grant whose SHGB had run out.

"Later we will have a hearing with the government that provides grants and the public, I think the grant business is clear, we will see the schedule for summons to the company (Green spread) next week," said Made Supartha, Wednesday, November 5.

"The problem is when there are activities in the field to carry out grants, there are even obstacles in the field," he said.

For the time being, Supartha proposed that the people of Jimbaran Traditional Village, especially the supervisors or managers of the Belong Batu Nunggul Temple, request an escort in the process of carrying out the renovation of the temple to the Bali Police with a copy to the police, police, Bali Governor, Bali DPRD, Special Committee TRAP, and Commission I.

Along with the community carrying out the mandate of the Bali Provincial Government grant, the council will also come down to inspect the area.

"At the same time, we will also go down to check the development activities in the area, which ones have been built, the permits are complete or not, whether they violate the cliffs or not, we will check all of them," he said as quoted by ANTARA.

According to the chairman of the special committee, naturally pretending to be a place of worship should not be limited or prohibited, this condition shows Hindus there are even guests at home.

The Jimbaran Adat Bendesa Anak Agung Made Rai Dirga Arsana added that this report was carried out because the community's patience reached its peak, namely being prohibited from renovating the temple.

Meanwhile, the Bali Provincial Government's grant fund of IDR 500 million for the repair must be executed.

Departing from this complaint, residents of Jimbaran Traditional Village also revealed the problems that had occurred so far, such as the limited access to them in and out of three temples, namely Pura Belong Batu Nunggul, Pura Batu Layah, and Pura Batu Terun.

"Since 2010 it has been difficult to get freedom, if you want to pray for permission to the company, if there are no PT officers holding the portal key, we cannot enter, their answer always never hinders people from praying but in fact the road is damaged, installed with portals, locked, very strange to pray but permission from people," he said.

Agung Rai Dirga also revealed the issue of land ownership which is now controlled by the Jimbaran Hijau company, where the company has a Building Use Certificate (SHGB) because the land is a regional government grant in 1994.

At that time the concession was valid for 25 years, so that it should have been updated in 2019, but until now the company has not shown any evidence, so the community then handed it over to the TRAP Special Committee to help bridge the bridge.
