Focus On Pursuing The National Growth Target Of 5.2 Percent, Airlangga Reveals That Indonesia's Economic Growth In The Third Quarter Of 2025 Is Still Maintained

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto assessed that Indonesia's economic growth in the third quarter of 2025 which reached 5.04 percent (year on year/yoy) showed that the national economic condition was maintained.

According to Airlangga, this achievement was better than the same period the previous year, which was 4.95 percent (yoy).

"With a figure of 5.04 percent, it means that we can keep it at the level of 5 percent. Compared to the previous quarter, it was also much better, in the year on year quarter, yes," he told the media crew, Wednesday, November 5.

However, he stressed that the government will take various additional steps so that economic growth in the fourth quarter of 2025 can reach the annual average target of 5.2 percent.

"Well, we need to make efforts in the fourth quarter, we have to increase the economy again so that an average of 5.2 percent can be achieved," he said.

Airlangga also highlighted household consumption which grew 4.95 percent (yoy), slightly slower than the previous quarter of 4.97 percent (yoy).

He ensured that the government had prepared various fiscal stimuli to maintain people's purchasing power.

"The stimulus is sufficient because we have calculated the additional stimulus of Rp. 30 trillion. Then KUR still has Rp. 50 trillion. So, we can still push it. Yesterday we signed the contract for 800,000 KUR. Now, 800,000 if the average is Rp. 50 million, it means Rp. 40 trillion So, in line with the Rp. 50 trillion that we want to disburse," he said.

Previously, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) revealed that economic growth in the third quarter of 2025 reached 5.04 percent yoy when compared to the same quarter in the previous year of 4.95 percent.

BPS Deputy for Balance and Statistics Analysis Moh Edy Mahmud revealed that Indonesia's economy based on Indonesia's gross domestic product or GDP in the third quarter of 2025 at current prices (ADHB) was IDR 6,060.0 trillion and on the basis of constant prices (ADHK) it reached IDR 3,444.8 trillion.

Meanwhile, Indonesia's economy based on gross domestic product or Indonesia's GDP in the third quarter of 2024 at current prices of IDR 5,638.9 trillion and on the basis of constant prices it reached IDR 3,279.5 trillion.

"So that Indonesia's economic growth in the third quarter of 2025 when compared to the third quarter of 2024 or year on year grew by 5.04 percent," he said at a press conference, Wednesday, November 5.

The national economic growth in the second quarter of 2025 reached 5.12 percent (yoy) or quarterly (quarter to quarter/qtq) grew 1.43 percent.
