GIIAS Makassar 2025 Officially Opened, Presents Many Interesting Innovations
Finally, the series of automotive exhibitions for the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) The Series arrived in the last city, namely GIIAS Makassar, which was officially opened today at a larger new venue, Summarecon Mutiara Makassar Convention Center (SMMCC).
Setia Diarta as Director General of ILMATE, Ministry of Industry expressed support for the implementation of GIIAS Makassar 2025, and hoped to expand the success of various previous cities.
"The Ministry of Industry wholeheartedly supports the implementation of the 2025 Makassar GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) and hopes that this event will continue and even expand the success that has been achieved in its previous city," Tata said.
The Daily Chairperson and Chairperson of the GAIKINDO Exhibition and Conference Organizer, Anton Kumonty, in his speech said that the implementation of the Makassar GIIAS has an important meaning for the development of the national automotive industry, especially in eastern Indonesia.
"As the main gateway for Eastern Indonesia, Makassar has an important role in the development of the national automotive sector. This province occupies the 6th position nationally with a contribution of 4.1 percent to total vehicle sales in the January 'July 2025 period, showing the great potential of the automotive market in this region, which is the strategic basis for the re-arrival of GIIAS Makassar to strengthen the industry and bring innovation to the community," said Anton, in an official statement received, Wednesday, November 5.

GIIAS Makassar 2025 presents more than 25 motorized vehicle brands. From the passenger vehicle category, there are 10 brands, namely BAIC, BYD, Chery, Honda, Jaecool, Jetour, Mitsubishi Motors, Suzuki, Toyota and Wuling.
For the two-wheeled vehicle category, Benda, Benelli, Keeway, Kuprum, Morbidelli, Royal Enfield and Scomadi are also supported by more than 10 automotive supporting industry brands.
In addition, this exhibition is also supported by Powered by PLN Mobile and other sponsors, namely Superchallenge and Kahf, which contributed to the vibrant variety of programs and activities during the event.
