Tangerang Police Still Testing Ballistics In The KJU Express Shooting Case

Tangerang Police are still conducting ballistic tests on evidence of projectiles left in the shooting case at the P.O. Putra Karya Jasa Usaha (KJU) Express Office, Citra Raya, Mekar Baru, Panongan District, Tangerang Regency, Banten.

"Yes, while we are still testing ballistics. We are still in the process of being investigated, the results will also be informed," said Tangerang Police Chief Kombes Pol Andi Muhammad Indra Alert in Tangerang, Antara, Wednesday, November 5.

In this case, Indra did not provide details about the ballistic test related to the shooting case. However, the police have secured a number of evidences in the form of CCTV footage and firearms projectiles used by the perpetrators in the incident.

"Currently, we are still in the process of investigating, while we have found the identity of the alleged perpetrator," he said.

He said the investigation stage of the case would continue to be carried out by the investigative team to speed up the process of disclosing and arresting the perpetrators.

In addition to exploring the type of firearm, he said, Tangerang Police investigators are also investigating the motive allegedly committed by a syndicate of motor vehicle theft (curanmor).

"Incidentally, in other incidents it was the same, there was an act of theft using firearms. That's approximately 12 motorbikes secured. Of course, the development will have something to do with the current case," he said.

Previously, the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Panongan Police, Iptu M Dandi Agus Darmawan, revealed that based on witness statements, the alleged crime of theft using a firearm occurred on Sunday night at around 00.06 WIB at the Citra Raya KJU Express.

An eye witness, namely a local security officer (security) saw and suspected two suspected perpetrators who wanted to take a motorbike at the scene.

Then, the witness immediately approached and thwarted the criminal act by chasing the alleged perpetrator. However, they immediately fled and fired a shot that led to the KJU office.

"So when this witness saw them riding a motorbike, immediately fired a shot at the witness. Fortunately there were no victims," he said.

According to him, the actions carried out by the perpetrators could be suspected of being involved in a gang or specialist in violent vehicle theft.

The reason, he said, was that his party had received information that the crime occurred in the Cikupa and Panongan areas.

"So, according to the information we got, that the perpetrator has carried out his actions several times in the Cikupa area, especially in the Panongan area, Citra Raya," he said.
