In terms of demographic trends, Millennials and Gen Z groups now dominate the world of work in Indonesia. Their portion is 58.7 percent of the total workforce in Indonesia. Their character is different from the previous generation.

"Well, the challenges of future work and Millennial and Gen Z characters, it encourages the importance of people's centric organization [in the world of employment]," said Minister Yassierli.

The Special Staff of the Coordinating Minister for Regional Infrastructure and Development, Merry Riana, said that the business world will be related to many generations. Including those are younger generations such as Millennials and Gen Alfa. How can we relate to them, it is very important," he said.

The way the younger generation thinks, makes life decisions, and so on, is very different.

"Even so, of course there are similarities. And the most effective way to move them is to generate energy," said Merry.

From there, he added, a business leader must create energy by continuing to move. Everything, including business transformation, requires energy. And large energy will produce large sustenance," said Merry.

The chairman of the 2025 Top Human Capital Awards Jury, Budi W. Soetjipto, Phd., said that this year's theme, The Role of Talent Mobility and HCMS as Strategic Business Partner, emphasized the importance of synergy between talent mobility and HR management systems to encourage the company's competitiveness.

Talent mobility does not only mean cross-functional or unitary employee transfer, but also reflects the organization's ability to manage its employees' best potential--place the right person in the right position, at the right time.

With strong HCMS support, talent mobility can be a driving force for innovation, accelerate the transformation process, and ensure organizational readiness in the face of changing business strategies.

Through this strategic role, HCMS is no longer just an administrative function, but is the main partner in making business decisions.

"This approach will produce an organization that is adaptive, sustainable, and highly performance-oriented," said Budi, who is also a lecturer at the Faculty of Business Economics, University of Indonesia.
