Suzuki Introduces SV-7GX At EICMA, Coming To Mid-Next Year

JAKARTA - Suzuki officially introduced SV-7GX at the EICMA 2025 event, presenting a new mid-range sports tourer that expands the line of brand products from Japan.

SV-7GX follows the GSX-S1000GX style, with small front fairing, customizable display, and hand shielding. Screen and fairing will clearly provide better wind protection than SV650, and a 17.4 liter fuel tank offering a tremendous range of up to 321 km.

Quoted from the Visordown page, Wednesday, November 5, for the electronics sector, Suzuki equipped SV-7GX with a colorful TFT screen that supports smartphone connectivity, navigation, and real-time weather updates.

There is also a USB-C port on the dashboard to charge the device during the trip, making it a motor that is ready to follow the needs of modern motorists.

In terms of chassis, SV-7GX uses a steel trellis framework that visually resembles that of SV650, complete with 17-inch wheels to maintain a balance between agility and stability.

Regarding convenience, this motorbike is equipped with a front suspension using a 41mm telescopic fork and a rear suspension with customizable preloads, while the braking system is equipped with a dual disk of 290 mm in front and a single disk of 240 mm behind, with two ABS channels as standard equipment.

SV-7GX relies on a 645cc V-twin 90-degree engine that is known to be tough and smooth, but now comes with modern technology such as a shuttle ride-by-wire, a traction control system. This machine is capable of generating 72-hp power at 8,500 rpm with a peak torque of 63.7 Nm at 6,800 rpm.

There are three driving modes that can be selected according to the driver's needs. Suzuki also embeds two-way quickshifters and slipper couplings to increase comfort and response when shifting teeth.

Introduced as Yamaha Tracer 7's main competitors and Kawasaki Versy's 650, the SV-7GX will be becoming available on the global market in mid-2026, with official prices to be announced near launch time.
