UEFA Holds Three European Club Competitions Next Season, What Are They?

Conference League

Unlike the Champions League or Europa League, there are no direct tickets to the group phase of the Conference League.

Among the 32 teams that will feature in the group phase of the Conference League, 22 of them will take the qualifying path while the other 10 are the teams that fall in the europa league qualifying playoff phase.

The conference league's knockout format will also implement a pre-elimination round that brings together the group runners-up teams with the third-placed teams of the Europa League group.

The winner will meet the group winners in the round of 16 which is the same format as it is known today.

The inaugural Final of the Conference League will be played at the Arena Kombetare Stadium in Tirana, Albania, on 25 May 2022.
