Minister Rosan Said The Government Was Present At The High Speed Rail Project
JAKARTA - Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM Rosan Roeslani conveyed the government's commitment to continue to be present in the development of national public transportation, including the high-speed rail project.
"Earlier, the meeting with the President, who is indeed a means of public transportation, which is indeed for the benefit of the community at large, and therefore the government's presence will indeed exist and be present in transportation programs, including in transportation. This," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, November 4.
Regarding the discussion with the Chinese regarding cooperation in the development of transportation projects, Rosan explained, the negotiation process is still ongoing.
According to Rosan, the development of this project also involved a number of related ministries.
"This is still running, the team will also have Mr. Coordinating Minister for Infra, there is the Coordinating Minister for the Economy involved, there is a team from the Minister of Finance, from us. So this is a cross-ministerial cooperation and the ministry of transportation as well," he said.

Rosan menambahkan, koordinasi antarkementerian sangat penting agar setiap langkah dalam negosiasi dan implementasi proyek sejalan dengan arahan Presiden.
Kehadiran pemerintah dalam pengembangan transportasi ini, kata Rosan, tidak hanya dilihat dari segi untung-rugi, tetapi juga dampaknya bagi masyarakat.
“Dan juga melihat kepada undang-undang yang ada, ya memang itu menjadi tugas dari pemerintah,” katanya.

Rosan added that coordination between ministries is very important so that every step in project negotiations and implementation is in line with the President's direction.
The government's presence in the development of transportation, said Rosan, is not only seen in terms of profit and loss, but also in the impact on the community.
"And also looking at the existing laws, yes, it is indeed the duty of the government," he said.
