JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) examined 10 witnesses related to the alleged money laundering crime (TPPU) of former Agriculture Minister Syahrul Yasin Limpo today, November 4. Among them are GM Media Radio Prambors or PT Bayureksa, Dhirgaraya S. Santo and Ulie Ayun Sri Syahrul who is SYL's wife.

"The examination was carried out at the South Sulawesi BPK office," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters, Tuesday, November 4.

In addition, investigators also summoned eight other witnesses. They are Yanto Masui, Wahyu Trilaksono, and Adolvina Supriyadi as private and Asridah Ibnu, Sri Hartini Widjaja, Earli Fransiska Leman, Ichwan Ismail, and Niny Savitry as PPAT.

It has not been detailed the presence of these 10 witnesses, including SYL and Dhirgaraya's wives. However, they are suspected of knowing about the money laundering carried out by the NasDem Party politician.

Meanwhile, Dhirgaraya testified at the SYL trial regarding the extortion and alleged receipt of gratuities within the Ministry of Agriculture in 2024. At that time, he said that his name was borrowed to buy a house by SYL's wife.

Dhirgaraya said the home loan pass was worth Rp. 11.5 billion with an installment of Rp. 80.6 million per month. This incident occurred in 2020.

As previously reported, the former Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo is currently a suspect in alleged money laundering. This step was taken after the development of cases of extortion and acceptance of gratuities that had been convicted by the Jakarta Corruption Court.

A number of assets allegedly purchased by Syahrul from corruption have been confiscated by the KPK. Among them are a white Mitsubishi Sport Dakar hidden in an empty land in the Makassar area, South Sulawesi.

Recently, SYL has been sent to the Sukamiskin Penitentiary (Lapas), Bandung, West Java. He will serve a 12-year prison sentence for guilt in cases of extortion and acceptance of gratuities at the Ministry of Agriculture.

SYL was also sentenced to pay a fine of IDR 500 million, subsidiary to four months in prison plus compensation of IDR 44,269,777,204 and 30 thousand US dollars, subsidiary to five years in prison.
