Debt Still Paid, Prabowo Reveals Fast Train Project Symbols Of Cooperation With China

He stressed that the benefits of this project are very significant, such as reducing congestion, suppressing pollution, and accelerating travel.

"This must all be calculated. This is what is important is that we master technology, we are at the age of the best practice, and this is a symbol of our cooperation with China," he said after inaugurating Tanah Abang Baru Station, Tuesday, November 4.

Prabowo emphasized that the project responsibilities had been completely taken over by the government.

"So that's it, I've said, the President of the Republic of Indonesia takes over responsibility. So there's no need to make a fuss," he explained.

"We are able and we are strong, the money is there. The money that was previously corrupted I saved, I didn't give it a chance. So my brother asked me to help all of you, don't give me opportunities for corruptors to dominate, there will be a lot of money for all of us," he added.

Prabowo added that the Government is not oriented towards profit or loss in the provision of public services, because it is also a common practice around the world.

"Indonesia is not just a country, we calculate, there is no problem with that. So PT KAI doesn't have to worry. Everyone doesn't have to worry, we serve our people, we fight for our people, technology, all suggestions are shared responsibility," he said.

Prabowo also emphasized that all public transportation facilities must be used for the benefit of the community, and as President, he bears full responsibility for this.

"In the end, it is the responsibility of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, so I am now the responsibility ofminish," he said.

According to him, public transportation services such as high-speed trains should not be judged only in terms of profit.

He emphasized that around the world, public transportation is a form of public service obligation (PSO) or public service obligations, so that what must be calculated is the benefit of the community.

"Whoosh is all public transportation around the world, don't count profits, don't count losses, don't count benefits for people around the world, this is called public service obligation," he said.

Prabowo also explained that the government provides subsidies to train services to ease the burden on the community.

"All of our trains are subsidized by 60 percent, the people pay 20 percent, this is the state's presence, this is the state's presence," he said.

He emphasized that subsidy funds come from state taxes and assets, so they must be managed in a clean and transparent manner.

"Where did the money come from, the money came from people's money, the money was from taxes, the money was from the state's wealth, so we have to prevent all leaks, we really have to stop misappropriation and corruption in people's money cannot be stolen because we will return it to services for the people," he explained.

Furthermore, Prabowo said that he had studied the HIGH Speed Rail project and made sure there were no problems. He asked that the project not be used as politicization material.

"So don't worry, I've told you everything, I've learned the problem, Indonesia is able and that's all natural, don't politicize it, don't dance to people's drums, maybe there are parties who don't know where they always want to cause people's anxiety," he said.

Prabowo emphasized his commitment to safeguarding the country's wealth and managing it for the welfare of the people.

"Be calm, our nation is strong, our nation is rich, the important thing is that the government must not be careless, the government must not be deceived and the government must not let people steal the wealth of the country. I will not hesitate with my team, we will prove that we will save, we will save and will look for all the sources of wealth and we will manage and return to the welfare of the people," he concluded.
