After Being Caught By OTT, Riau Governor Abdul Wahid Immediately Underwent An Examination At The KPK Office

JAKARTA The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) moved quickly after holding a hand arrest operation (OTT) in Riau Province on Monday, November 3, 2025 to Tuesday, November 4, 2025, the KPK has examined the Riau Governor Abdul Wahid intensively with seven other people at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.

KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo confirmed that a total of nine people were arrested in the silent operation. Eight of them, including the governor, have arrived and are undergoing examination.

"The parties who have been secured and taken to the KPK's Merah Putih building are currently being investigated intensively," Budi told reporters in a written statement, Tuesday, November 4.

Riau Governor Arrives Accompanied By PUPR Officials

Governor Abdul Wahid arrived at the anti-corruption commission office at around 09.35 WIB. He was accompanied by two top officials from the Riau Province PUPR Service, namely the Head of PUPR Arief Setiawan and the Secretary of the PUPR Service Ferry Yunanda.

Upon arrival, Abdul Wahid, who wore a plain white shirt and mask, chose to remain silent a thousand languages. He rushed into the building to undergo an examination. The two PUPR officials who walked behind him also seemed to cover their faces with masks.

Previously, the KPK secured a total of 10 people in Riau and found evidence in the form of cash up to hundreds of millions of rupiah.

Budi Prasetyo added that another person who was secured would also be immediately taken to Jakarta for questioning. However, the identity of the figure has not been detailed by the anti-corruption commission.

The KPK has not disclosed details regarding the alleged transaction or case behind the OTT. All information and legal status determination will be submitted to the public through a press conference after an intensive examination is completed.
