The Number Of Tourist Visits Reaches 11.43 Million, Up 10.22 Percent
JAKARTA - The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reported that the number of foreign tourist visits or foreign tourists reached 11,431,655 visits from January to September 2025. The visit increased by 10.22 percent compared to the same period last year.
Meanwhile, as of September it reached 1,394,910 visits, down 7.33 percent compared to last month, but up 9.04 percent when compared to the same period last year.
Deputy for Distribution and Services Statistics, BPS Pudji Ismartini, explained that foreign tourists visiting in September 2025 mostly came from Malaysia, reaching 272.4 thousand visits or 19.5 percent of the total foreign tourists visiting.
"Then Australia followed by 11.7 percent (or 163.5 thousand) and Singapore 8.5 percent (119.2 thousand)," said Pudji, quoted on Tuesday, November 4.
Next, there are China as many as 113.3 thousand visits or 8.1 percent, Timor Leste 86.7 thousand visits or 6.2 percent, India 55.5 thousand visits or 4 percent, South Korea 41.6 thousand visits or 3 percent.

Furthermore, from Japan 39.7 thousand visits or 2.8 percent, France 39.5 thousand visits or 2.8 percent, the UK 35 thousand visits or 2.5 percent and various other countries as many as 428.1 thousand visits or 30.7 percent.
According to national foreign tourists visiting the most came through the doors of Bali's Ngurah Rai Airport reaching 634,482 visits, followed by Soekarno-Hatta Airport with 244,404 visits, Batam 140,073 visits, Juanda 32,664 visits and Kualanamu 29,107 visits.
