The DKI Provincial Government Is Still Opening Registration For Free Transportation Services For 15 Groups, Here's How To Register

JAKARTA - The Provincial Government (Pemprov) of DKI Jakarta is still opening registration for free public transportation services for 15 groups of people. The latest news is that the Provincial Government is now providing direct registration services during Car Free Day (CFD) or Motor Vehicle Free Day (HBKB) activities in Sudirman-Thamrin every Sunday.

Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, revealed that this step was taken to make it easier for Jakarta residents, in addition to online registration and to visit the Transjakarta office directly.

"Currently the registration is still online and also comes directly to the Transjakarta office in Cawang or in several branches of Bank DKI, not entirely. Therefore, we opened it at the booth to provide space for the public to come to register and then immediately print a card," Syafrin told reporters, Tuesday, November 4.

Mandatory Registration Comes Directly

Syafrin emphasized that registration of free transportation services (Transjakarta, MRT Jakarta, and LRT Jakarta) cannot be represented. This aims to ensure accountability for the process of providing subsidies allocated from the DKI Regional Budget.

Despite the long queue at the opening of the service at CFD Sudirman-Thamrin on Sunday, November 2, the DKI Provincial Government will still open similar services the following week.

"But there were indeed some elderly who later, because the queue was long, what we took was that the person concerned submitted the requirements, then photographed, could go straight home, next week he could take the card," he explained.

15 Beneficiary Groups

DKI Provincial Government Provides Free Public Transportation Services For 15 Priority Classes

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) is now providing free public transportation services for 15 groups of people that have been set, including the use of Transjakarta, MRT, and the Jakarta LRT. This program is intended to ease the burden of living expenses and increase the mobility of priority citizens.

This beneficiary group is very diverse, ranging from the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) and Retired PNS DKI Provincial Government, Contract Staff of the DKI Provincial Government, to Students who receive KJP Plus and Rusunawa Occupants. Not only that, this free service is also intended for employees with UMP equivalent salaries (or below certain limits), members of the TNI/Polri, and Veterans of the Republic of Indonesia. Support for vulnerable groups is also realized, including for Persons with Disabilities and the Elderly over 60 years old.

In addition, public servants and social activists at the community level also get this facility, such as the House of Worship Management, PAUD Educators, as well as community cadres such as Jumantik, Karang Taruna Management, Dasawisma, and Posyandu Cadres including the PKK Mobilization Team. Residents included in these 15 groups are required to register and have a service card issued by Bank DKI to be able to enjoy these facilities.

Special Document Requirements

In addition to population documents such as ID cards and family cards, Syafrin said other requirements needed were documents stating the status of the applicant.

"For other workers, for example, house of worship officers, it shows a letter of assignment from a house of worship, a place of worship where the person concerned works," said Syafrin.

Complete information about the requirements can be accessed through the special service site.transjakarta.co.id.

Syafrin added that currently the free card registration service cannot be opened in each sub-district office due to the limitations of Transjakarta staff and Bank DKI which have the authority to validate data and synchronize the cards to be issued.
