As previously reported, the 2026 model is predicted to get a massive overhaul of current generation models.
Government approval documents recently showed Hilux with the codename 'AN2' would not use its 2.7 liter four-cylinder gasoline engine, while the future of its 2.4 liter diesel engine is also unclear.
In contrast, a 2.8 liter turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine may be widespread throughout the Hilux 2026 lineup. The variant is expected to continue offering 48-volt 'mild-hybrid' assistance, which is limited to higher classes.
When officially launched, of course, it is possible to be present at the Indonesian automotive market, who can't wait?
