Fun Relaxing At Home, Acong Arrested, Apparently Prison Inmate Jambi Who Escaped During Floods In 2017
JAMBI - Jambi Police Satreskrim team managed to arrest Acong aka U.S. inmates for narcotics cases that escaped from The Class II Prison A Jambi during the flood that hit the prison on June 14, 2017.
Jambi Police Chief Kombes Dover Christian in Jambi Mngatakan, an inmate on behalf of Acong was arrested by police while sitting on the porch of his family's house in Murni area, Lake Sipin District, Jambi City on Wednesday, May 19.
The arrest was made after the Satreskrim Team was informed that the Jambi Prison inmate who escaped during the flood 3 years ago who escaped, was at his family's house in Jambi City and the team immediately conducted an investigation.
After obtaining the data and definitive information, the team conducted an investigation and reconnaissance which then managed to catch the perpetrator while sitting in front of his family's house in Murni area, Jambi City.
Based on the confession of the Jambi Prison, the residents escaped during the flood and broke the prison cell wall. Acong inmates at that time had been hiding behind the mosque behind the class II prison A Jambi.
After feeling safe, Acong had gone to area 16 of Jambi City to meet his family to ask for money in order to go to bungo regency.
"After escaping, Acong had worked at PTPN VI in Tani Jaya Village, as a loading and unloading worker for more than three years there," Dover was quoted as saying by Antara on Thursday, May 20.
After years of escape finally before Eid al-Fitr yesterday, Acong aka AS returned to Jambi City and was arrested by police.
It is known that before escaping the inmate was sentenced to five years and six months in prison, at the time the escaped inmate had only served one year and six months and would still serve the remaining four years.
"Now the inmates on behalf of Acong are checked if there are other crimes and otherwise it will be handed over to the Prison Class II A Jambi to serve the rest of his sentence back in accordance with the applicable rules," said Kombes Dover.
