Brigadier Abraham Dies After Divorce For Onar In Asmat Buried In Jayapura
Asmat Police Chief AKBP Wahyu Basuki said the body of Brigadier Abraham had been evacuated to Jayapura through Timika.
"Now the body is buried at the funeral home in Doyo, Jayapura Regency," said Asmat Police Chief AKBP Wahyu Basuki to Antara, Monday, November 3.
The Asmat Police Chief said the victim died while carrying out his duties when responding to reports related to residents who were drunk and made trouble.
The incident that occurred on Sunday, November 2, began with a report related to a drunken resident on Jalan PLN Baru. Abraham and his two colleagues, Bripda Rahmad Hidayat and Bripda Faisal Darus, headed to the location using a patrol motorbike.
While at the T-junction of Jalan PLN Baru, suddenly the perpetrator jumped onto the victim's motorbike and attacked using a sharp machete weapon until the victim was injured.
"The victim fled. When his colleague was about to help, the perpetrator Simon Ufi tried to attack the two members of the National Police so they returned to look for help to Bripda Obaja Siep who was on patrol," said AKBP Wahyu.
The perpetrator, Simon Ufi, has been arrested and is now being held at the Asmat Police Headquarters in Agast.
