6.3 M Earthquake Shakes Afghanistan Early Monday: 7 Dead, 150 Injured
JAKARTA - At least seven people were killed and 150 others injured after an earthquake measuring magnitude 6.3 rocked Afghanistan on Monday today.
Previously, a spokesman for Governor Balkh, Haji Zaid, reported that at least four people had died in the disaster.
Quoted from Sputnik, the European-Mediterania Seismological Center (EMSC) said the M 6.3 earthquake occurred on Monday morning at around 01.00 (03.30 WIB).
With an epicenter 45 kilometers east-southeast of Mazar-i-Sharif City in Afghanistan's central region.
The United States Geological Survey Agency (USGS) estimates the earthquake will have a significant impact on the number of victims.
