Fugitive Case Of E-KTP Paulus Tannos Files Pretrial Against KPK

The fugitive in the alleged corruption case in the procurement of an electronic ID card Paulus Tannos filed a pretrial lawsuit at the South Jakarta District Court against the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

"Case Number 143/Pid.Pra/2025/PN JKT.SEL; Petitioner Paulus Tannos; KPK RI Respondent," said the Case Investigation Information System (SIPP) of the South Jakarta District Court, quoted by Antara Jakarta, Monday, November 3.

Tannos was recorded as registering the pretrial on Friday, October 31, 2025. He sued for his arrest. However, the SIPP of the South Jakarta District Court has not yet presented a petitum (pok application) submitted by Tannos.

"Criminal classification of cases: whether or not the arrest is valid," said the statement.

The inaugural trial for the case is scheduled for Monday, November 10, 2025.

The KPK announced that Paulus Tannos alias Thian Po Tjhin had been arrested in Singapore in early January 2025. Currently, the person concerned is undergoing the extradition process in Singapore court.

Meanwhile, Paulus Tannos was named a new suspect in the development of an investigation into the corruption case in the procurement of electronic ID cards on August 13, 2019. The KPK suspects that the state's financial losses in this case are around Rp. 2.3 trillion.

However, Paulus Tannos fled abroad and changed his identity. He was then put on the wanted list (DPO) or fugitive from the anti-corruption commission since October 19, 2021.
