Firli Bahuri Denies Making His Own Decision When Disabling 75 KPK Employees

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Firli Bahuri confirmed the policy of deactivating 75 employees who failed the National Insight Test Assessment (TWK) is not just his decision. Firli called this decision a joint decision of other high-ranking officials in the KPK.

Moreover, the meeting held after the announcement of as many as 75 employees were declared not qualified TWK was attended by a number of high-ranking officials in the KPK.

"The plenary meeting of the KPK was attended by five kpk leaders, five members of the supervisory board, and along with all echelons one, deputy, secretary general, echelon two, director and bureau chief," Firli said in a press conference at the Merah Putih KPK building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, May 20.

In the meeting, the former Deputy Of Kpk Crackdown confirmed that all parties voted to related follow-up to employees who did not qualify.

"We discussed how it relates to the national insight test to become a state civil apparatus (ADN), and how to not qualify from the national insight test to become an ASN," firli said.

Therefore, Firli denied the statements of some who called himself secretly deactivating dozens of his employees. Because, the process has been discussed openly.

"So there's nothing we can close," he said.

In addition, Firli also explained that his party is awaiting the decision of the Constitutional Court (MK) against the KPK Law No. 19 of 2019. The reason is that he doesn't want the anti-corruption commission to precede the verdict that was struck down on May 4.

"We await and respect the decision of the Constitutional Court which was read on May 4, 2021 until 20:00 pm," he said.

Firli said the results were opened on May 5, 2021. All structural officials and kpk leaders see the process of opening the document.

He also confirmed no documents were exchanged. Moreover, in the process all documents are still in sealed condition and no one knows the contents.

"No official has ever read the results of a national insight test," he said.

As for the assessment, he ensured the decision was in the hands of the examiner and not at the request of himself as the head of the KPK.

Previously reported, the National Insight Test (TWK) was followed by 1,351 KPK employees. Of these, 1,274 were declared eligible.

Meanwhile, 75 employees including Novel Baswedan, Chairman of kpk employee container who is also an investigator Yudi Purnomo, Director of Socialization and Anti-Corruption Campaign KPK Giri Suprapdiono, Kasatgas KPK Harun Al-Rasyid, and Director pjkaki Sujarnarko declared ineligible (TMS). The other two employees were not present in the interview.

Next, KPK issued a Decree of kpk leadership No. 652 of 2021 concerning The Results of National Insight Test Assessment.

The letter signed by KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri and a copy signed by Plh Head of Human Resources Bureau Yonathan Demme Tangdilintin has four points. One of them, instructing employees who do not qualify to hand over their duties and responsibilities to the direct supervisor.
