Pangdam I/BB Encourages Strengthening Human Resources And Discipline Of The Young Generation Through Persami KKRI

JAKARTA The development of superior human resources (HR) is one of the important foundations in strengthening Indonesia's national and economic resilience.

This effort was also realized by the Kodam I/Bukit Barisan through the High School State Defense program, namely the Camping for Saturday-Sunday (Persami) of the Republic of Indonesia Cadet Corps (KKRI) Wave III Quarter IV for Fiscal Year 2025 which was held at Rindam I/BB, Pematang Siantar, Sunday, November 2.

The activity, which was led directly by Pangdam I/BB Major General TNI Rio Firdianto, was attended by 500 vocational high school students from various regions, including Medan, Langkat, Deli Serdang, Simalungun, and Asahan.

During activities, participants get training on national insight, disciplinary training, leadership, and field skills training.

Pangdam I/BB said that character development and student discipline are an important part in preparing young workers who are tough and competitive in the future.

Through this activity, the participants were not only physically and disciplined, but also formed a spirit of leadership, cooperation, and the spirit of nationality. This is a long-term investment for human resource development with character and ready to contribute to the nation," said Major General Rio.

According to him, the synergy between the Indonesian Army, educational institutions, and local governments is very important to produce young people who are ready to face global challenges, including in the fields of economics and technology.

After the closing ceremony, Pangdam I/BB also handed over awards to the most favorite KKRI participants, men and women. The activity continued with the defense equipment exhibition, multipurpose tower demonstrations, and regional cultural performances that reflected the spirit of togetherness.

The activity was also attended by elements of the North Sumatra Forkopimda, representatives of the TNI-Polri, the prosecutor's office, and local governments from various districts/cities in the Kodam I/BB area.
