Overcoming Traffic Jams And Parking, Members Of The DKI DPRD Fully Support The Initiation Of Ancol-JIS Connectivity

JAKARTA Member of the DKI Jakarta Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) expressed full support for the initiation of the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung, to realize connectivity between Ancol and the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS). This integration project is believed to be a strategic solution to overcome the problem of congestion and limited parking space at JIS when the magnificent stadium held a big event.

Member of Commission D of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Ida Maheasy, believes that this connectivity will have a significant impact.

"If this is connected, I am sure I can solve the problem of congestion when there are activities," said Ida in Jakarta, Monday.

Real Implementation Of Sport Tourism And Global City Attractiveness

Ida considers that Ancol's integration, as a leading tourist destination, with JIS, as a magnificent sports venue, will be a real implementation of the concept of Sport Tourism in the capital city.

"Towards a global city, I hope that the integration of these two venues, tourism and sports will make Jakarta more attractive, including from the international community," he said.

Ida gave special appreciation to Governor Pramono Anung for planning this connectivity program. The reason is, JIS, which was built in 2019 with a budget of IDR 4.5 trillion, still faces serious obstacles related to vehicle parking capacity, even though this stadium has a capacity of 78,000 people.

"JIS has a capacity of 78 thousand people. This needs to be more supported by adequate facilities for JIS activation to be more optimal," he said.

Convinced Financing Can Be Overcome

Ida Maheasy is optimistic that the DKI Provincial Government (Pemprov) will be able to realize the Ancol-JIS connectivity project because this project is an urgent need that will increase public interest in the two locations.

Regarding the financing aspect, Ida does not doubt Governor Pramono Anung's ability to find the best solution.

"In terms of financing, I am sure that Mas Pram can find the best solution. We at the DPRD are certainly very supportive. This Ancol-JIS connectivity will certainly be one of Mas Pram-Bang Doel's legacy for Jakarta," concluded the member of Commission D of the DKI Jakarta DPRD.
