Rupiah Predicted Weakening Under Pressure Hawkish's Attitude Fed Officials
JAKARTA - The rupiah exchange rate in trading Monday, November 3, 2025, is estimated to have the potential to weaken against the United States (US) dollar.
To note, citing Bloomberg, on Friday, October 31, 2025, the rupiah spot exchange rate closed higher by 0.03 percent to the level of Rp. 16,631 per US dollar.
Meanwhile, the Jakarta Interbank Spot Dollar Rate (Jisdor) exchange rate of Bank Indonesia (BI) closed up 0.09 percent to a price level of IDR 16,625 per US dollar.
Doo Financial Futures analyst Lukman Leong estimates that the Rupiah exchange rate will tend to weaken against the higher US dollar, driven by hawkish statements from a number of Fed officials, namely Schmid, Logan, and Hammack.
"Rupiah is expected to weaken against the US dollar which is again strengthened by the hawkish support from Fed officials, namely Schmid, Logan, and Hammack," he told VOI, Monday, November 3.

In addition, he added that investors are also looking forward to the release of a number of domestic economic data, including trade data and inflation.
"Investors also anticipate a series of domestic economic data, including trade data and inflation," he said.
Lukman projects that the movement of the rupiah on Monday, November 3, will move in the range of Rp16,600 per US dollar to Rp16,700 per US dollar.
