Israeli PM's Office Confirms The Repatriation Of Three Hostage Bodies In Gaza

JAKARTA - Israel has received three more coffins containing the bodies of hostages who died in detention in the Gaza Strip, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said.

"Israel has received, through the Red Cross, the coffins of the three fallen hostages, which were handed over to IDF and ISA troops in the Gaza Strip. From there, the coffin will be moved to Israel," the Prime Minister's Office said, launching TASS November 3.

"They will then be transferred to the National Forensic Medical Center of the Ministry of Health. After the identification process is complete, official notifications will be submitted to their families," he continued.

Israel and Hamas continue the indirect negotiations mediated by Egypt, Qatar, the United States, and Turkey to resolve the situation in the Gaza Strip on October 6.

On October 9, the warring parties signed an agreement on the implementation of the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire plan initiated by US President Donald Trump.

The ceasefire took effect on October 10. On October 13, Hamas and other Palestinian groups released 20 surviving hostages and handed over the bodies of four hostages who had died based on the Gaza ceasefire agreement.

The Israeli side expressed their frustration that Hamas had only returned four of the 28 bodies of the dead hostages. Later, Hamas handed over several more bodies to Israel.

Until yesterday, a total of Hamas had handed over 17 hostages' bodies in the Gaza Strip, quoted from Reuters.

"Efforts to repatriate our hostages are ongoing and will not stop until the last hostages are returned," the Israeli PM's Office promised.
