FC Twenty Confirms Mees Hilgers Experience Knee Injury
JAKARTA - Bad news came from one of the Indonesian national team's players, Mees Hilgers. The club where he played, FC Twenty confirmed that the player had a knee injury.
The latest information about Mees Hilgers' condition was shared through the club's official statement on Saturday, November 1 evening WIB. In a statement it was stated that Mees suffered an injury during a training session this week.
"Mees Hilgers picked up a knee injury during training this week," wrote FC Twenty on the club's official website, quoted on Sunday, November 2.
"The examination has shown a crucial ligament injury. We pray for Mees to always be strong during his recovery period," the club added.
However, FC Twenty did not explain in detail about the recovery period that Mees Hilgers had to carry out until he recovered from a knee injury.
This situation is clearly bad news for Hilgers, who have not appeared for Twenty this season due to the issue of negotiating new contracts.

The club has actually offered the 24-year-old a contract extension, given his contract which expires on June 30, 2026. But the offer has not received a response.
"It's a shame. We certainly expect a response, but if the players don't want it, that's fine. We'll just have to wait and see what happens," said Twente's Technical Director, Jan Streuer some time ago.
So far this season, Hilgers has never been played in the Dutch League. Moreover, that his relationship with the club is also reportedly starting to stretch since pre-season, after his move plan failed.
Twenty is trying to extend the contract so as not to lose the defender for free next year. However, because there was no agreement yet, the club chose not to field Hilgers in an official match.
