Prabowo Lee Jae Myung Agrees To Continue The KF-21 Boramae Fighter Jet Project
JAKARTA - Presiden Prabowo Subianto dan Presiden Korea Selatan Lee Jae Myung membahas kelanjutan proyek pengembangan bersama jet tempur KF-21 Boramae dalam pertemuan bilateral di selarang KTT APEC 2025 di Gyeongju, Sabtu 1 November.
This meeting will be the first for the two leaders since Prabowo was sworn in as president in October 2024. President Lee emphasized that the KF-21 project is an important symbol of strategic partnerships in the field of defense and high technology between South Korea and Indonesia.
"The KF-21 project reflects the trust and long-term cooperation between the two countries," said Lee Jae Myung.
Prabowo responded by saying that the Indonesian government continues to carry out technical and financial discussions to ensure that the continuation of the program runs according to plan.
"Consultation continues at the government and technical level so that this project has economic and strategic value for both countries," said Prabowo.

In addition to the KF-21 project, the two countries also agreed to expand cooperation in the field of military training, exchange of defense technology, and regional security.
On that occasion, Lee Jae Myung also expressed his appreciation for Indonesia's active role in maintaining East Asia's stability, especially in supporting peace on the Korean Peninsula.
