Jaguar Delays Launch Of Electric Grand Tourer To 2026, What's Up?
JAKARTA Jaguar has decided to postpone the launch of its latest production version of the Grand Tourer by 2026, after previously scheduled to launch by the end of 2025. There are several reasons for the delay in the launch.
Jaguar's Managing Director, Rawdon Glover, explained that this delay was not caused by major design changes, but external factors. This includes a production system disruption that had occurred in the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) environment.
This electric car will be an important milestone in Jaguar's rise as a premium brand with a fully electric vehicle lineup.
The model will also be the first car built on a new electric architecture specially developed by Jaguar.

Glover added that the order will begin to open once the model is officially introduced, with unitary delivery to consumers following shortly thereafter.
He also revealed that the basic price of this car will start at around $130 thousand, equivalent to approximately Rp2.16 billion.
"Not many electric cars are really fun to drive," said Glover as quoted by Caranddriver, Saturday, November 1, 2025.
The statement confirms Jaguar's ambition to provide a driving experience that is not only efficient, but also involves emotions and sensations typical of sports cars.
In addition, Glover ensured that Jaguar's vision to become a fully electric brand went ahead as planned.
The company is working to strengthen a more dramatic and proportional design character, creating a car with a firm and classy impression.
Despite the delayed launch schedule, Jaguar took advantage of this additional time to carry out further testing and refinement.
